In 1992, Yves Lavoie, a former professional goalie, decided to dedicate his love of sports to his community by opening Lavoie La Source du Sport in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. His vision was clear: to create a place where athletes would be advised by people who live and breathe sports, not just salespeople. He also brought his father, Pierre, and his brother, Ronald, on board as partners.
More than 30 years later, Yves is still at the helm. He now shares his passion with his wife, Marie-France, and their successor: their daughter, Pascale. What began as a sports equipment store has become a local institution renowned for its family atmosphere, recognized for both the quality of its products and its professional service.
